Betfair launched “National Jockey Day” in 2014 to raise money for the Injured Jockeys’ Fund whilst celebrating the role of thousands of hardworking jockeys across the U.K.

The campaign is based around the Betfair Chase sponsorship at Haydock Park and ties into Betfair’s longstanding and wide ranged support at the grass-roots of British Racing.

In 2016, we successfully reached our fundraising target of £50,000 with the help of our social media campaign #NationalJockeyDay. During the campaign, Betfair donated £1 to the Injured Jockey Fund for every tweet that contained the hashtag #NationalJockeyDay or for every bet placed on the National Jockey Day Double Market.
