Partnerships Payments and Operations Manager – Paddy Power Betfair (PPB)

Reports to: Head of Partnerships

Location: Malta (or alternative London or Dublin)

Role summary:

The Partnerships Payments and Operations Manager is a key new role within the Paddy Power Betfair Partnerships Team. They will be tasked with ensuring that the operations of the team and their affiliate partners run both efficiently and effectively.

The primary responsibility of the role will be managing the payments and finances of the PPB Affiliate channel. The person will ensure that partners and affiliates are paid in a timely and efficient manner, a core element of our affiliate programme. They will be accountable for the entire payment process, a critical function of the PPB Partnerships Team who must deliver funds to our partners and affiliates across all international regions.

Reporting into the Head of Partnerships, other major aspects of the role will be a focus on the operational side of the Affiliate Marketing Channel; supporting the wider team with product management, technical support, compliance, affiliate recruitment and digital marketing. Another important component will be to spearhead monthly projects on how we can improve certain areas of the programme and a deliver a “best-in-class” experience to our partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Affiliate Payment processes, ensuring payments are correct and made on time
  • Develop a frictionless and industry-best payment experience for the affiliate programme
  • Consistently drive automation and reduce manual workload where possible
  • Track and manage Payment, Budget and Operational KPIs, circulating regular updates to the team
  • Liaise and manage internal relationships with key stakeholders (Treasury, Fraud, Compliance, etc) daily regards budget queries, payment issues and problem-solving
  • Understand the payments and regulatory landscape in each territory that Paddy Power Betfair operates
  • Keep up to date with all online payment trends and initiatives
  • Spearhead operational projects – Netrefer Affiliate Software, FlashTalking Ad Server, Recruitment, Compliance, Analytics, etc
  • Assist the Partnerships Team with their marketing campaigns across UKI and International regions

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Must have experience of working in Digital Marketing, Online Advertising or Consumer E-commerce
  • Direct experience managing payments or operational process
  • Strong analytical / reporting skills with the ability to make data-justified business decisions (a high level of proficiency in the use of MS Excel required)
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Affiliate Marketing and how affiliates operate, along with the Sports Betting and Gaming industry
  • Team player with a positive and someone who wants to become a valued member of the team
  • Highly developed communication skills and ability to build and maintain working relationships with the wider business
  • Ability to manage stakeholders in pressure situations to deliver results to tight deadlines
  • Strong commercial acumen and a demonstrable history of adding value and efficiency across a business
  • Solid knowledge of ad-serving, tracking systems and Affiliate software
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technology discipline
