Job Title: Commercial Executive

Reporting Line: International Gaming Commercial Manager – Regulated Markets

Job Location/Office: London / Dublin

Role Overview/Purpose:

Reporting to the International Gaming Commercial Manager – Regulated Markets, the Commercial Executive will support in the delivery of our Gaming proposition across Betfair’s licensed jurisdictions. The Commercial Executive will assist in driving performance across all regulated markets and product verticals (Casino, Live Casino, Arcade, Poker and Exchange Games) and will specialise and take ownership for performance in certain markets.

This is a key role in the International Gaming Team and will expose the candidate to the widest possible range of International Gaming products. Consequently, it is expected that the candidate will have stakeholder engagement skills, commercial acumen and an ability to communicate complex issues clearly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of the International Gaming strategy and customer proposition in key regulated markets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business including P&L Managers, Product, Operations and Insights teams.
  • Develop an understanding of key performance drivers in regulated markets and feed insight into team planning and reporting sessions. Produce commercial reports highlighting regulated market performance.
  • Assist in the rollout, ongoing management and continuous improvement of International Gaming products.
  • Work closely with senior members of the International Gaming team to ensure ongoing compliance / localization for all Gaming products against relevant jurisdictional requirements.
  • Ensure that Customer Service and VIP teams are properly aligned and briefed on all Betfair International commercial initiatives.

  • Comfortable interpreting large datasets and linking output to desired business outcomes.
  • Self-starter who is willing to get their hands dirty and learn about all International Gaming products.
  • Ability to quickly react to changing commercial circumstances. The International Gaming team is constantly evolving, and the role requires a high degree of adaptability
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Fast learner: learns quickly when facing new situations. Experiments to find solutions. Takes on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks and extracts lessons learned from failures or mistakes
  • Resilience: resilient and confident under pressure, comfortable in dealing with ambiguity and finding solutions.

Education & Experience:

  • Degree level education is essential
  • Minimum 1 year working in an online casino or sports betting environment is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in a commercial role is highly desirable
  • Fluency in English is essential, knowledge of a further foreign language is an advantage
  • Highly skilled in MS suite including Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Demonstrable interest in the gambling industry
