Working with the Heads of Tribes across Product Engineering, the Head of Delivery Assurance is responsible for assuring the successful delivery of the prioritised product initiatives across the Paddy Power and Betfair brands in Europe and RoW.

The role also has specific responsibility for optimising resource utilisation across the Product Engineering function, product delivery roadmap planning, 3rd party supplier management, budget management, internal and external dependency management & risk management.

The role holder is also expected to work with the Strategy & Optimisation team to help embed the agreed ways of working and continuous improvement as defined within the Technology Operating Model.

On occasion, the role may also be responsible for directly leading one or more key PPB initiatives, ensuring the successful delivery of technology outcomes. This may involve working across multiple teams, disciplines and locations across the organisation.

By forming strong relationships with colleagues across Technology and commercial teams the role holder will ensure priorities are clearly understood and communicated within the Product Engineering team and will provide a transparent and accurate view of the current status of delivery and forward capacity.

This role reports into the Managing Director, Product Engineering and will require travel across PPBs four main European locations.


  • Work with the Portfolio team to provide a consolidated view of the current state of delivery across the Product Engineering portfolio including internal & external dependencies and delivery risks & issues.
  • Manage delivery dependencies across functions and shared services including Data and Design
  • Work with Heads of Tribes to create and maintain a resource, capability & capacity plan for Product Engineering.
  • Provide measurement of Product Engineering performance against centrally agreed set of Technology KPIs
  • Own the process for defining, creating and disbanding Focus Tribes as defined within the Technology Operating Model
  • Ensure optimal resource utilisation across Product Engineering, aligned to product and commercial priorities and proactively remove resource contention
  • Provide visibility of overall team composition, recruitment status and anticipate future needs based on demand. Support the onboarding of new teams across locations as required
  • Support Heads of Tribe to embed the Technology Operating model across Product Engineering

  • Provide a consolidated view of 3rd Party Supplier contracts and spend across Product Engineering and take responsibility for ongoing management of supplier relationships.
