Job Title: Full-Time Sports Trader

Reporting Line: Sports Senior Trader or Sports Team Lead

Job Location/Office: Clonskeagh

Role Overview/Purpose:

Shares responsibility for odds compilation, risk management, product optimisation, supporting in in-play trading and measuring success, all with the ultimate goal of operating a “best in class” offering for PPB customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compilation of odds in a timely and accurate way, as per the agreed trading strategy
  • Support the delivery and ongoing optimisation of relevant compilation models
  • Monitor and respond to changes in the general market or known conditions
  • Align with key business stakeholders to improve the customer proposition
  • Support in-play trading of events from across the globe
  • Risk management for both pre-match and in-play events
  • Produce new betting opportunities by helping to grow the Sports Specials offering
  • Interpret and use outputs of relevant customer and P/L reports
  • Analyse performance based on ad-hoc analysis requests given by line manager
  • Ensure settlement, customer query resolution and other operational KPIs are exceeded
  • Deliver on personal objectives agreed with line manager

Technical Competencies:

  • Comprehensive understanding of existing operational processes and tools
  • Evidence of knowledge-sharing and process improvement/optimisation
  • Strong organisational and forward-planning skills
  • Strong report-writing skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Experienced Microsoft Office user, particularly Excel

Education, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Mathematical or business degree will be considered an asset
  • Excellent betting and sporting calendar knowledge
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent results and process
